This short film competition is meant to spotlight emerging filmmakers from diverse backgrounds. Applicants will be given the first scene of a script written by Academy Award® nominee, director Carlos López Estrada (Blindspotting; Raya and the Last Dragon). They will then have to complete the story as a proposal. 

From there, 10 finalists will be chosen to live pitch their ideas to the Dolby and the GFS team. Three scripts will be chosen and given a $25,000 production budget towards finishing their films.
